![]() Irvin is a CPMT™ (Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist) and has completed a class with Advanced Rolfing® instructor Jim Asher (who has 40 years of experience Rolfing® Children).Irvin is offering Structural bodywork for children. While children for the most part have less chronic pain and postural imbalances than adults, bodywork can help children not get stuck in fascial patterns that may limit them in the future. Children's tissue are very receptive and many problems such as clubfoot, toe walking, scoliosis, and dropped arches, can be helped with early Structural intervention. Because of the speed in which children can assimilate this work and children's shorter attention span, sessions are usually shorter than those for adults and Irvin charges less for them.
A parent or responsible adult is expected to be present in the room during all pediatric sessions. |
“Some individuals may perceive their losing fight with gravity as a sharp pain in their back, others as the unflattering contour of their body, others as constant fatigue, yet others as an unrelentingly threatening environment. Those over forty may call it old age. And yet all these signals may be pointing
to a single problem so prominent in their own structure, as well as others, that it has been ignored: they are off balance, they are at war with gravity.”
